The name Maple Leaf Golf derives from owners Richard & Sally Haygarth's time in Canada in the 1990’s, The customer service mentality in Canada was so good, that they wanted to make it central to their culture in the golf business.

Maple Leaf Golf acquired Chichester Golf Club which has two 18 hole courses, a driving range and a Par 3 course, in 1999. In 2003 it acquired Hill Barn Golf Club, the spectacular 1930’s built Hawtree designed course from Worthing Borough Council, and 2009 saw Horton Park Golf Club in Epsom join the Maple Leaf Golf portfolio.
